7. There Was Nearly a She-Hulk film in the late 1980s featuring Brigitte Nielsen

While the character never ended up in the real life Incredible Hulk TV series from the late 1970s and mid-1980s, Marvel tried to mount its own She-Hulk film in the late 1980s. The task went far enough into developmentĀ  for the studio to shoot some concept photographs featuring Brigitte Nielsen (Red Sonja, Beverly Hills Cop II) and it was even announced at the Cannes Film Festival in 1991 alongside an eventual spin-off of Dolph Lundgren’s disliked Punisher film. Production came apart when the company failed to produce enough cash to begin filming. As far as Nielsen was concerned, it was absolutely an intriguing look for She-Hulk: they essentially just hurled some green cosmetics on her and a fiercely 1980s comic book-style costume.
