5. Power Rangers — March 24
Regardless of the fact that Dean Israelite’s Power Rangers resembles it’s from 2008, it’s the appreciated renewal of a 25-year-old franchise that needs a genuine reboot. In redesigning Angel Grove’s youngsters with attitude into genuine people, Power Rangers might be the one non-Marvel and DC superhero film that doesn’t carelessly attempt to manufacture “a cinematic universe.” Since it’s Power Rangers, it may very well be crazy enough to be a standout amongst the most exciting films of the year.
6. Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 — May 5
We should not think too hard on this one. As it is, it’s the next Guardians of the Galaxy.
