Justice League Reacts To ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer

Justice League Reacts To ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Trailer

The Avengers: Infinity War trailer recently set the media world ablaze, and it seems to have also had quite the effect on the Justice League.

Not the movie Justice League mind you, but the League themselves. That’s the premise of a new parody video from DrMachakil, who recut the rooftop scene of Justice League to include Avengers: Infinity War. This one doesn’t just splice together footage from the two though, instead having Commissioner Gordon revealing the Infinity War trailer to the League.

Flash, in particular, seems in awe of the new footage, which features Thanos’ long-awaited arrival to Earth. Batman seems a bit threatened as well, and afterward, Wonder Woman wants to know what war they are referring to. After Gordon starts to segue into talking about the DCEU’s status, the League disappears…well, all except for Flash.

It’s an entertaining video, and you can find it in the clip above. You can find more of DrMachakil’s work on Youtube.

As Justice League learned though, initial reactions aren’t always indicative of the reaction to the final product. Justice League debuted footage at San Diego Comic Con, and the reception to that was quite positive at the time. Since then the film experienced some behind the scenes changes, including a switch in directors over midway through, which led some to believe the film would be a hodgepodge of several visions.

Ultimately the film has been divisive amongst critics and fans, resulting in a less than expected box office haul. Justice League has been in theaters for over 2 weeks and has amassed over $185 million domestically. It’s done much better overseas, bringing in over $311 million internationally, with a worldwide total of over $496 million.

It’s still got plenty of time to bring those numbers up, but Disney’s Coco has put a fly in that ointment a bit, taking the top spot it’s first two weekends in theaters.

As for Avengers: Infinity War, fans seem to be heavily hyped for the upcoming film, one that the MCU has been building to since Phase 1. Hopefully, Marvel and the Russo Brothers can deliver, as the same team is also responsible for the sequel Avengers 4.

Avengers: Infinity War hits theaters May 4, 2018, while Justice League is in theaters now.
