New Transformers Live-Action Bumblebee Movie “Logo Revealed”

New Transformers Live-Action Bumblebee Movie “Logo Revealed”

Next up for the Transformers movie universe is the Bumblebee solo film, and now fans can get their first look at the new logo.

The beloved Autobot will get the spotlight next year, but the film has already wrapped filming. At the wrap party, the official logo and title card were on display, and TFW2005 got their hands on both. As you can see in the image below, the Bumblebee movie logo features the Autobot’s head next to the text, both of which have received a retro makeover.

The film is set in the 1980s, so it makes sense that everything has vintage visual style. Bumblebee’s design has been tweaked to represent something more akin to a Volkswagen bug than the slick Chevy Camaro from the newer films. That said, the design still looks like it fits in the Michael Bay Transformers universe, just with retro elements.

You can view the logo in the image below.

Bumblebee has clearly been one of the highlights from the new Transformers films, but he won’t be the only one coming along for the ride. Optimus Prime will also play into the film somehow, but it isn’t known how just yet. Regardless of how the two interact, fans will be thrilled to see Bumblee in his Volkswagen Beetle form, something that is iconic to the character.

The film will be directed by Travis Knight (Kubo and the Two Strings) and will take place specifically in 1987. Bumblebee is on the run (presumably from the Decepticons) and finds refuge in a junkyard. He is eventually discovered by Charlie (played by Hailee Steinfeld), though he is in pretty rough shape. When she revives him, the two kick off a crazy adventure and rest assured it will involve plenty of insane Transformers action.

The cast also includes Pamela Adlon, John Cena, Stephen Schneider, and more, and will seek to create another side franchise to the already successful core Transformers series.

Bumblebee The Movie is slated to hit theaters on December 21, 2018.
