If you’ve just seen the late Star Trek films, you may be excited to hop into the Star Trek universe. Yet, the big question is, where do you begin? The Next Generation is a great show. However, you won’t be able to watch every one of the seven seasons. So, here are the ten best episodes to begin with.
10. “Cause And Effect” (Season 5, Episode 18)
When the Enterprise is trapped in a time loop, the crew is compelled to experience that day over and over. The ship continues ending with the destruction of the Enterprise, and Data is the only one who can stop it. This is again an extraordinary story of time and decisions, much like “Tapestry.”
9. “Tapestry” (Season 6, Episode 15)
When Captain Picard (Patrick Stewart) is shot in the artificial heart, the invincible Q (John de Lancie) permits him to go back in time and change the event that demolished his original heart. In any case, when he comes back to the present, he finds it’s changed the man he was to become. This is a convincing episode about the voyage Picard experienced to become the Captain. It’s about choice, and how the darkness in our lives can prompt us to be better individuals.
