The reboots failed to satiate the cravings for the cerebral Star Trek plots for the purists but lets not forget that few characters in the reboot justified the originals. Zoe Saldana is probably one of the best things about the JJ Abrams Star Trek reboot. She stuck to the roots of the original Uhura’s character; her portrayal makes it possible to see Zoe’s Uhura to grow up to be the good old Uhura from originals, whom we all love, respect and adore. She is one such actress, who was not disparaged by the purist Star Trek fans, in fact, she was called out as “Underutilized character/actor.” We hope that she maintains her characteristics even in the third installment and future Star Trek movies.
